Unlock the full range of your emotional and physical creativity with award-winning casting director Sunday Boling Kennedy. This four-week class empowers actors to give themselves permission to fully commit in auditions—whether the genre is comedy, drama, action or horror.
With over 20 years of casting experience, Sunday brings insider insight, a compassionate directing style, and a supportive environment to help actors develop memorable, truthful performances, especially in high-stakes material.

WEEK ONE: Permission To Use Your Space
- Sunday will kick us off with an introduction about herself and her casting journey, as well as her approach to auditioning.
- Students will perform day player scripts that require movement, activity or use of space.
- Sunday will re-direct and provide audition tips and techniques she has seen used effectively in person, on zoom and during a self-tape for navigating the mental “audition wall.”
WEEK TWO: Permission To Feel Fully
- This week we will focus on risk-taking and vulnerability on camera.
- Students will be partnered with scenes exploring strong emotions with personalized direction from Sunday to dig deeper while staying grounded. We will discuss building emotional tools you can access quickly when needed.
WEEK THREE: Permission To Be Imaginative
- This week we will focus on work that requires imagination and the far-fetched and how to stay real and grounded in this type of work.
- Students will be partnered with scenes exploring environments or characters that are unusual or extreme with personalized redirects from Sunday.
WEEK FOUR: Permission To Trust Your Homework
- This week we will focus on trusting your instincts and your training and letting go of perfectionism.
- Students will either be called back with one of the scenes from a previous week or be given a new scene based on the work performed in class.
- We will wrap up with a Q&A and final audition thoughts from Sunday.

Casting Director
Sunday Boling Kennedy is an award-winning casting director and partner at Morman Boling Casting. She began her career at 20th Century Fox as an assistant to Christian Kaplan, working on big budget studio features, went onto work with Debi Manwiller, Eyde Belasco, Sheila Jaffe and Francine Maisler and then launched her own company in 2004 with Meg Morman. She has cast over 100 films, including Omaha (premiered Sundance 2025), Green and Gold (released 1/3/25), Waitress, Hello, My Name is Doris, Aporia, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, The Hyperions, Unlovable, and Hard Luck Love Song.
TV and streaming credits include: The Baxters, Sneakerheads, Ish Hashuv Meod, The Dead Girls Detective Agency, In the Vault and Relationship Status. She has also cast numerous award-winning narrative podcasts – a few
select credits include Blackout, Ad Lucem, 13 Days of Halloween S2 and S3, Last Known Position and Ronstadt. She has been nominated for 11 Artios Awards for excellence in casting and won twice. She served on the board of the Casting Society for four years and is currently the Co-president for Casting Society Cares.
